After your appointment, you can arrange subsequent appointments at the front desk, by phone, or online. For those who prefer online physiotherapy appointments (telerehabilitation), we continue to offer that service as well.

Sarah was born and raised in Victoria, and after nearly 20 years of living and working in the beautiful West Kootenays she is happy to once more be residing on Vancouver Island. Sarah graduated from UVic in 2003 with a Bachelors of Science (Hons.) in Biology, and then graduated from UBC in 2006 with a Masters of Physical Therapy. Since graduation she has been committed to further education ranging from manual therapy course, bike fit, the vestibular system, and in 2017 received certification to be a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist. While Sarah started specializing in the pelvic floor in 2017 she has also maintained a strong orthopaedic caseload. She has found it rewarding to be able to integrate skills learned in both spheres to best treat individual patients.

In addition to being able to effectively treat pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence and offer the pre and postpartum care which one usually associates with a pelvic health physio, Sarah has also taken advanced training in pelvic pain, the neurogenic bladder and bowel, pelvic cancers, paediatrics, anorectal disorders (including fecal incontinence, constipation), pregnancy and pelvic girdle pain. Women are not the only people who can benefit from seeing a pelvic health physio!

Sarah has a passion for education and has had the privilege to speak about pelvic health to groups ranging from physicians and medical residents, to fitness professionals, athletes and the general public. Since returning to Victoria, Sarah has built a strong relationship with the Island Prostate Centre and enjoys helping men who are under going treatment for prostate cancer.

In her free time Sarah enjoys swimming, cycling and skiing. She also loves the time spent with her husband and son in the outdoors, be it paddling, hiking, camping or sailing.

Nick completed his Master of Physiotherapy degree (2020) at McMaster University and completed research on how different communities experience barriers to accessing physiotherapy services. Upon completion of his physiotherapy degree, Nick swiftly moved back to the west coast to live on Vancouver Island, where he had spent the last 11 years completing his Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Victoria and working in various industries.

As a physiotherapist, Nick strives to help you meet your goals – whatever they may be. With everyone he works with, he incorporates a collaborative approach so that you feel comfortable with your treatment plan and confident that it is right for you. Nick is thorough in his assessments to ensure that the root cause of any issue you come into clinic with is being addressed. Nick employs a variety of physiotherapy techniques to best meet your needs including manual therapy, therapeutic modalities, and exercise prescription.

As a multi-sport athlete, Nick has a deep understanding of the physical and mental demands of high-level sport and has a passion for helping athletes return to the sport they love.

Personal experience with competitive sport and rehabilitation led Hilary to complete a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Victoria, followed by a Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia. She uses evidence-based manual therapy, IMS (dry needling), soft tissue techniques, and therapeutic exercise to help her patients improve function, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.

Hilary takes a client-centered approach, and works with her patients to develop a meaningful and motivating treatment plan. She is passionate about empowering patients by combining physiotherapy techniques with the tools and education to allow patients to take control of their care, and achieve results that maximize their potential.

Hilary enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle and is well versed in many sports. Her extensive involvement with the soccer community has led her to discover effective methods to help athletes rehabilitate from sport-related injury, and prevent future recurrences.

Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Wes has a strong sense of community and a continued desire to contribute to local groups and organizations. He graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2006. Then in 2009 he completed a Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of British Columbia. Wes is currently involved with local youth and professional sports teams and holds his Sports Physiotherapy Certificate. He loves to treat in all areas of sport however he spends most of his off clinic time with lacrosse and hockey. He is the team physiotherapist for the Victoria Shamrocks Sr. A Lacrosse Team. Wes also holds a certification in intramuscular stimulation (IMS) from the University of British Columbia and has advanced training in vestibular and concussion management.

With clients of all backgrounds, Wes focuses on a collaborative approach by incorporating the client’s interests and activities into a specific program. His treatment approach incorporates a balance of manual therapy, dry-needling, specific exercise-based programs and client education with the goal of decreasing pain and optimizing function. Wes believes an active lifestyle is essential to quality of life and his treatment of clients reflects this philosophy.

Luke completed his Master of Physical Therapy degree at the University of British Columbia in 2015 after obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Victoria. Born in Scotland but raised on the island, Luke has found home in the Westshore and is excited to serve it’s growing community.

Luke’s clinical practice incorporates elements of manual therapy, IMS/dry needling, pain education, and therapeutic exercise. He has acquired certification in anatomical acupuncture through the Acupuncture Federation of Canada Institute and AN-IMS through Foundations Health Education. He is also participating in additional post-graduate training through the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute. Luke has served as an external provider for Rugby Canada working predominantly with the Men’s Sevens team.

Over recent years, Luke has become an avid runner and has a special interest in working with recreational and competitive runners. He has a passion for strength training, believing it to be the foundational building block of many forms of exercise and activity, which can be applied to all levels of rehabilitation. Luke also enjoys participating in activities such as golf, basketball, softball and yoga. Trevor has a Master’s degree in physiotherapy from Dalhousie University, as well as a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Victoria. He has been a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist since 2005, and continues to coach and consult in addition to his physiotherapy practice.

A former athlete at the National Triathlon Centre, Trevor did his Master’s research on the correction of dysfunctional movement patterns in swimmers. He has been a team Therapist for Athletics Canada (National track & field team, West Hub) since 2014, and has worked as the in-house physiotherapist at the Canadian Sport Institute. Although he enjoys treating people from all walks of life, Trevor has a strong clinical interest in runners, swimmers, cyclists, & Crossfitters.

A manual therapy-oriented physiotherapist, Trevor enjoys taking a hands-on approach to most clinical challenges. He is certified in Functional Dry Needling (IMS), and believes that most physical limitations can be addressed by a combination of hands on treatment and movement re-education.

He is a highly skilled physiotherapist with a passion for sports and helping athletes reach their full potential. With his extensive experience working with various sports teams and his background in Human Kinetics, Jordan brings a unique perspective to his physiotherapy practice. He values patient education and personalized treatment plans, while using manual therapy and exercise prescription to promote healing and prevent future injuries. He is well-versed in dry needling (Gunn IMS) and has a Diploma in Sport Physiotherapy, making him an asset to his patients healing journey.

Andrea grew up in Vancouver and completed both her undergraduate in Kinesiology and Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia. She’s a mainland-transplant, but happy to be on this side of the water. With a keen interest in athletics, Andrea grew up focusing her attention on gymnastics and transitioned into cheerleading. After competing at the collegiate level she decided to switch her focus to the training side of things and worked with the Women’s University of British Columbia Varsity Basketball Team.

Her passion lies in empowering clients with the appropriate interventions to improve health and quality of life. Andrea specializes in individualized treatment programs and focuses on pre-habilitation, with the intent of preventing further injury. Her practice centres around exercise and manual therapy, always with the emphasis on client education and body awareness. Andrea has completed further training in manual therapy and is certified in Functional Dry Needling (IMS). Andrea has also completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training. She loves to marry the anatomical and physiological foundations of physiotherapy with the studied and practiced movement and philosophy of yoga.

Andrea has extensive, specialized training in women’s pelvic floor rehabilitation. Jacob was born and raised on Vancouver Island, but has lived and travelled throughout British Columbia and abroad for sport, education and leisure. He graduated with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from University of Dublin (2019), as well as a Bachelor of Athletic and Exercise Therapy from Camosun College (2014). He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA and a Certified Exercise Physiologist with a High Performance Specialization through CSEP.

Throughout his career, Jacob has worked with various sports teams including the National Men’s Development and Paralympic rowing program, Victoria Grizzlies Junior A Hockey Club and providing pitch side care for the HSBC World Rugby Sevens series. Upon completion of his education, Jacob has completed many manual therapy courses including Mulligan Technique, soft tissue release and CPA-AIM level 1.

Jacob’s treatment philosophy is focused on using best evidence informed practice to create a treatment plan based on the patient’s goals. He believes that patient education, hands on manual therapy and graded loading of the injured tissue are important components of the rehabilitation process.

Sean achieved his Master’s in Physical Therapy from Western University, after graduating with honours in Kinesiology at the University of Toronto. During these degrees he played Junior A hockey, competed for the Men’s lacrosse team at U of T, and worked as a personal trainer providing sessions to general population clients as well as athletes of all calibre including hockey, rugby, volleyball, cheerleading, lacrosse, basketball, swimming, and cricket.

Sean focuses on treating the person in front of him and enjoys getting to know his patients. A strong therapeutic relationship often guides creativity throughout the rehab process as he has a passion for helping people understand their true capacity. Originally from the mainland, Sonya completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University and her Master of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia. While attending Simon Fraser University, Sonya worked as a student trainer in the SFU Physio clinic as well as a trainer for the New Westminster Jr. A lacrosse team. As part of her commitment to work-life balance, she competed as an amateur boxer during this time. Additionally, Sonya has participated in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournaments while completing her degree in physiotherapy.

Raised in the Cowichan Valley, Jaymi is extremely happy to be back home on Vancouver Island. She graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton Ontario; first with a Bachelours of Health Sciences (2009) and than continuing on to a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy (2011). After graduation, Jaymi enjoyed having the opportunity to give back to her alma mater by becoming a clinical instructor in the Physiotherapy program.

Upon completing her education, Jaymi has maintained a strong focus on furthering her skills, completing rigorous training to become a certified FCAMPT (Fellow of the Canadian Association of Manual and Manipulative Therapists) as well as being certified by Acupuncture Canada and taking courses in vestibular rehabilitation.
